What really helps against cellulite

Cellulite, often known as cellulite, is in most cases a female phenomenon. It affects 80 to 90 percent of all women, primarily on the thighs and buttocks. Very few of them are happy about it. But what exactly is cellulite and what can you do about it? You will find out all of this in this article.

The latter protects our bones, insulates us from the cold and provides us with energy, but in combination with the connective tissue it also causes the oh-so-unloved dents. The connective tissue surrounds the fatty tissue. With cellulite, however, this is too loose, so that the small fat packages press up to the epidermis and visually appear as dents that look like citrus fruits. The reasons for cellulite are often genetic: some women are simply more prone to it than others.

If your mother or grandmother was already prone to orange peel, there is a good chance that you and probably your daughter also have the tendency. Another cause of dents in the skin is the hormone estrogen. It supports the body in creating fat reserves and slowing down its breakdown.

For this reason, orange peel occurs more frequently after puberty, during pregnancy or menstruation, as the estrogen level is particularly high here. Being overweight also causes unnaturally enlarged fat cells and the associated excess fat promotes cellulite. Another factor that promotes cellulite is smoking.

The influence of nicotine causes your skin to become thinner and wrinkled, making the fat pads in the subcutaneous tissue appear even more prominent. For this, and a few other reasons, you should avoid using the glow stick. Basically, the older you get, the weaker your connective tissue becomes. What really helps Numerous creams, applications and magazines promise it: This remedy, this method, this article helps against cellulite. The truth is: Unfortunately, this is all nonsense.

No matter how nice the promises may sound, no cream, no peeling, no wrap can help get rid of cellulite. The active ingredients contained in creams cannot penetrate deep enough into the crucial subcutaneous layer to achieve anything there. The active ingredients work best on the epidermis and achieve an optical effect, for example through good moisturizing care. Short-term results can be achieved through manual lymphatic drainage.

The treatments stimulate the metabolism and water retention can be removed. You can still do a lot to prevent cellulite and improve the appearance of your skin. Through regular exercise and a healthy diet, you can ensure that you avoid becoming overweight and thereby tighten your skin. In addition, regular massage of the affected areas can help improve the appearance of your skin.

Our very personal advice is: Don't drive yourself crazy and learn to love and accept yourself and your body. It protects you, provides you with strength and energy. You are beautiful and valuable - whether with or without cellulite.
